Diamonds & passes

MLBB event recharge tasks: diamond credit, passes and spending

Use the active event's own task rules to decide what qualifies. The diamonds added to your balance, the amount credited to a recharge task, and the diamonds spent on an item are three different totals; matching one does not prove the others are complete.

This is a method for checking the event visible in your account, not a claim that any named recharge promotion is active or that a Weekly Diamond Pass always counts.

Recharge credit is not your diamond balance

A merchant may display a combined base-and-bonus pack. That tells you the advertised delivery, not which part an event counts. Read whether the task requires an amount recharged, an amount spent, a particular purchase, or participation during a specific phase.

Keep these quantities separate when planning an event purchase
QuantityWhat it answersWhat it cannot prove
Spendable balanceHow much currency is available for a purchase?Whether any of it was recharged during this event
Qualifying recharge creditHow much does this event count toward its recharge threshold? That all delivered bonus diamonds count
Eligible spendingHow much has been spent in the actions allowed by the task? That simply adding diamonds completes the task
Claimed event tokensWhich rewards are already usable in the event?A guaranteed skin, draw outcome or future-phase entitlement

Does a Weekly Diamond Pass count toward recharge tasks?

Not enough can be inferred from the pass name alone. Codashop's March 2024 guide excludes passes from recharge tasks, and its Philippines product text repeats an exclusion. Those merchant summaries are not a reliable basis for declaring every later event eligible or ineligible. The active task's product list and conversion rule must settle the question.

Before buying a pass for a milestone, find whether the event counts the purchase at all, the credited amount per purchase, and whether daily claims count separately. If no rule confirms those points, treat the pass's qualifying recharge credit as unknown—not as its full-week diamond delivery.

For example, if an event explicitly credits a pass as 100 recharge diamonds, a 250 threshold is not met by assuming two passes deliver 440 over time: the qualifying credit would be only 200. This is a hypothetical rule example, not a statement that the current event uses a 100-diamond conversion.

Read these six details before opening checkout

Open the event's rules or information panel and the task list in the same MLBB account you intend to top up. A screenshot or guide from another region or phase may describe a different offer.

  1. Exact task wording

Record whether it says recharge, spend, make a purchase, log in or draw. Use the action the task actually requires.

  2. Phase start and end

Read the displayed server time and countdown. Distinguish the recharge window from the event's overall end and its reward-claim deadline.

  3. Eligible products and channels

Check pass, bonus-diamond, first-recharge, gift and third-party top-up exclusions or conversion rules. Missing information is a reason to ask official in-game support before paying for a milestone.

  4. Threshold type

Check whether the requirement is cumulative or must be met in one transaction, whether earlier spending counts, and whether progress resets between phases.

  5. Reward use and expiry

Confirm what the task gives, how to claim it, where it can be used, and when it expires. A draw token is not the featured skin.

  6. Account progress before payment

Note the current task counter and claim state. This provides a clear comparison after the order, without making a second payment to troubleshoot the first.

Worked example: covering a recharge threshold without double-counting

Suppose an event explicitly counts only base diamonds, uses a cumulative 250-diamond threshold, and your existing eligible progress is 50. You need 200 more qualifying diamonds. A hypothetical pack delivering 203 base + 20 bonus provides 223 spendable diamonds but only 203 qualifying diamonds under that rule. Your counter would reach 253, not 273.

If the rule instead counts the complete delivered amount, the result changes. If it demands one transaction of 250, the same pack does not meet that requirement. This is why a pack optimizer using total diamonds cannot certify event eligibility without the event's separate rules.

Compare total cash required to finish the verified task, not just the size of the bonus reward. If completing it would take you beyond your planned entertainment budget, leave the reward unclaimed. There is no saving when a bonus persuades you to buy something you did not want.

After payment: verify delivery, task progress and reward claim

Check the merchant receipt and order state first. Then reopen the relevant event and compare its counter with the value you recorded. Delivery of diamonds is one result; the task updating is another; claiming the reward is a third. Do not stop at the payment success screen.

If delivery succeeds but task progress does not match the confirmed rules, retain the receipt, order time, product name and before/after task state privately. Contact official in-game support about task eligibility and the merchant about delivery. Do not post full receipts or identifiers publicly, and do not buy another pack while the discrepancy is unresolved.

Merchant rewards and in-game event rewards can have different rules

A payment-channel promotion can have its own market, payment method, minimum order, account and expiry requirements even when the game accepts the top-up. Qualifying for one promotion does not prove eligibility for the other.

Keep two records when both matter: the merchant's final cash charge and reward terms, and the game's qualifying task rules. Do not subtract future store credit from today's spend or treat expired promotional copy as a live discount.

Which option fits?

Buy for a recharge task only after its eligible product, credited amount, phase and threshold are clear. Verify the counter and claim afterwards. If those rules remain unknown, do not spend just to find out.
